We know that the Canterbury Park Backside will be opening to horses for training on May 8th. Beyond that, there are so many unknowns which has caused us to reconsider our original sale date.
When Canterbury Park has finalized all plans for racing this summer, we will be better able to choose a date for the sale. The board is thinking sometime in early to mid-September. Every breeder who registered a foal of 2019 with the Minnesota Racing Commission will receive the consignment paperwork when a date has been selected. In the meantime, if you plan to sell your 2019 yearling, please make sure that all of your registration paperwork with the Jockey Club has been completed and that you are ready to assign your digital Jockey Club Certificate to the Minnesota Thoroughbred Association when the time comes.
